The Tech
BRB Bot works with conferencing software like Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Skype. Before joining a video call, it asks you to record a range of reactions, like laughing, concentrating, rolling your eyes, taking notes, or fiddling with your earbuds. BRB Bot records these reactions using your computer’s hardware.
The AI
Once you switch on BRB Bot, it uses AI to analyze the conversation in real time. It listens for keywords, determines the mood of the conversation, and triggers the appropriate pre-recorded clip. Even if you’ve left to relieve yourself, BRB Bot will keep participating on the call for you, and no one will be the wiser.
Paid Integration
To demo Charmin BRB we partnered with the biggest streamers on Twitch. Because gamers spend hours livestreaming, now they could take a toilet break without cutting their video.
Impact
We knew we’d found a solution for a universally relatable problem, but we weren’t prepared for how well-received the BRB Bot would be.
