McDonald's were a long-time sponsor of The FIFA World Cup yet had never launched a global campaign to celebrate it. With no global media buy, it came down to 191 local markets adopting our idea.
Typically sponsors throw money to showcase megastar soccer players, instead we celebrated the football passion of everyday folks with 'brains in their feet'.

We created behind-the-scenes films showing the crazy talent of our soccer stars and the work it took to get the shots.

Impact
Within hours of an organic release,
the film exploded fast:
20.4 million views on
McDonald’s YouTube channel.
On Facebook: 75,700 shares,
34,900 comments and 598,000 likes.
Soon the media noticed, giving an overwhelmingly positive reaction.
To our surprise, even Mr. P. Diddy decided we were worth sharing.
